Our 2014 exhibition entitled “Women Development and Leadership, Otomí-Tepehua Region, Hidalgo, Mexico,” explored photography as a tool for documenting democracy in action, promoting indigenous organizing principles and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.

PSYDEH’s first of now many shows using photography to inspire action, this effort was curated by Mr. Juan Carlos Valdez Marín, Director of the nationally renowned Sistema Nacional de Fototecas, Pachuca, Hidalgo, MX and produced by Abraham Carrasco, award-winning photographer (and then Coordinator of Art and Action for PSYDEH) and Damon Taylor.
